KiDi apologises for ‘old mean’ tweets against Sarkodie after incurring wrath of rapper’s fans

Lynx Entertainment signee, KiDi has since yesterday incurred the wrath of Ghanaians for some goofs.

Earlier on Thursday, May 14, 2020, the ‘Enjoyment’ hitmaker trended for the wrong reasons on social media after the host of Accra FM’s mid-morning Ayekoo show, Nana Romeo scolded him on-air and sacked him for appearing late on the show.

Although KiDi apologised for his actions, social media users didn’t forgive him and described his habitual lateness as unprofessional.

Following the incident that got KiDi trending, some Sarknative fans dug up the ‘Say Cheese’ singer’s old tweets and discovered how Sarkodie had years ago, been badmouthed by KiDi.

In 2012 when Sarkodie won the BET Awards KiDi wrote, “so Sarkodie won the BET Award last night…eeeiii we are dead!!!!” and in 2013 he also tweeted, “After R2Bees wins this BET Award, Sarkodie can shut up about being the only Ghanaian artiste with a BET.”

This resulted in a lot of backlash from the Sarknation camp with some hurling insults and abusive words on him.

However, KiDi has rendered an unqualified apology for his past actions saying he regrets all comments made and has learned a lot from the situation.

According to him, he did not realise how negatively his tweets will affect those he talked about when he made them.

He, therefore, urged all to support the music industry to put Ghana on the map.
