Baffour Owusu Afriyie who is Otumfuo Abrafuohene and also the chief at Atwima Maakro in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region, has urged the people of Ghana especially, government and the politicians to cancel the 2020 general election due to coronavirus pandemic.
He questioned that, if the covid-19 is real and it has affected people to be increased up to more than 10,000, then we should be cancelled the 2020 election and find solutions to fight against pandemic Covid-19 .
He added that, there are some countries like America was supposed to have their general elections by now but due to the Covid-19 pandemic they have Suspended it as Trump remain their president. I therefore appeal to all Politicians and it’s shareholders to reach an agreement to suspend the upcoming elections, Otumfo Abrafuohene added.
Baffour explained this to the press during an exclusive Interview with Enfrans Media Reporter Obofo Michael by saying that, politicians should stop planning election and plan for Ghanaians life.
He then expressed his disappointment with the NPP leadership for denied some of their contestants to contest their parliamentary primaries. According to Abrafuohene, the party Executives should have allowed all the aspirants to contest, for the delegates to made their own choice through the Primaries.
Moreover, Baffour warned the public to desits from cursing especially the politicians because it will affect the country.
