Eyewitnesses say the fire started around 1:30 AM Sunday dawn from a small room serving as a kitchen in the house; it has not been established what caused the fire but tenants say there was nothing combustible not electrical wiring in the room.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM on Monday morning, a journalist with DomPeace FM, Eben said some of the essential equipment in the station, like the transmitter were salvaged.
The DomPeace FM station was the only radio station in the Amansie Central District reaching over 100,000 people in that enclave.
