75 Women league clubs issue 8 point petition to Ghana FA executive council

Women league clubs across the length and breadth of Ghana has petitioned the leadership of the Ghana Football Association to consider financing their activities as well as enjancing the fame at the grassroots level.

The Women clubs drawn from all the 10 Regional Football Associations say they are the bed rock of women Football in the country having produced players to the National teams.

“We are happy to see the support given to women’s soccer since the new administration took office. We thank GFA for the initiatives introduced to help the women’s soccer, thus individual players and clubs.” the clubs stated in a petition addressed to the Ghana FA.

“Our clubs are the “grassroots and development level” of Women’s soccer in the country; with over 75 Women Regional clubs affiliated to all the 10 RFAs in Ghana, we deem it necessary to present to you the challenges confronting Women’s Regional clubs.” They added.

The clubs maintains There are several practices that go on at the regional level, Some of which includes Scouting and identification of potential female footballers from within communities and remote areas, Developing raw talents of the girls into finished product making them potential players, Accommodating and feeding of these potential footballers, Absorbing almost all the cost of players’ education from Basic through to SHS and Tertiary levels.
