A single-storey building at the Sokoban Wood Village in Kumasi tragically collapsed, trapping four workers under the debris, in the early hours of the morning.
The Ghana National Fire Service (Kejetia Fire crew) was alerted and promptly dispatched at 2:45 AM, arriving at the scene to initiate a swift rescue operation.
Three of the workers were successfully pulled from the rubble alive, receiving immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, one worker was discovered deceased amid the wreckage.
The body has since been handed over to the Police, who are conducting further investigations into the cause of the collapse.
