Justice in Question: Families Outraged as Pastor’s Son Avoids Police Interrogation Following Fatal East Legon Accident

The tragic East Legon car accident, involving Elrad Salifu Amoako, son of well-known pastor Salifu Amoako, has taken a troubling turn. Though recently discharged from the University of Ghana Medical Centre after the high-speed collision that killed two young girls, Elrad has been deemed “unfit” for police questioning by his doctor, a decision that has left grieving families and the public in shock.

Witnesses reported that Elrad’s car was speeding when it collided with another vehicle, setting it ablaze and tragically taking the lives of the two girls. Now, relatives of the victims, who expected an immediate inquiry, are voicing concerns over the delay in the investigation. “The idea that he is too unwell for questioning, despite being discharged, seems designed to prolong justice,” stated one of the victims’ relatives.

A source from the University of Ghana Medical Centre echoed these sentiments, claiming that Dr. Fred Salawu’s refusal to permit questioning appeared questionable. “He looks physically fine,” the staff member commented. “Is this about his health, or is there another factor at play here?”

Meanwhile, police investigators have expressed frustration, interpreting the doctor’s position as a barrier to uncovering the full truth. Despite these hurdles, they continue to monitor Elrad closely, awaiting medical clearance to proceed. This tragic accident has stirred widespread outrage and raised pointed questions about privilege, influence, and the impartiality of justice in this high-profile case.
