Diella TekuDr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is intensifying his campaign efforts in the Ashanti Region, where he will visit key constituencies—Bekwai, Bosomtwe, Ejisu, and Asokwa—on November 11, 2024. This visit marks an important stage in Bawumia’s regional tour, which began on November 4 and has so far covered 21 out of the 47 constituencies in the region.
Dr. Bawumia’s campaign stops have featured personal meet-and-greet sessions, along with targeted stakeholder engagements where he has been interacting closely with local party members, community leaders, and residents. The Ashanti Region is a strategic stronghold for the NPP, and Bawumia’s extensive outreach here highlights the party’s commitment to reinforcing its influence in an area critical to their election strategy.
In Bekwai, his first stop on Monday, Dr. Bawumia is expected to address a variety of local concerns, from infrastructure improvements to economic empowerment initiatives. By addressing these issues directly with stakeholders, Bawumia aims to resonate with the region’s unique challenges and aspirations.
Throughout his Ashanti Region campaign, Bawumia has consistently articulated his vision for Ghana’s future, emphasizing economic stability, job creation, and inclusive growth. His interactions have centered on boosting confidence within the party base while also rallying grassroots support. With its substantial voting population, the Ashanti Region is seen as pivotal to securing an NPP victory, making this tour a critical part of the party’s push toward the December elections.
Bawumia’s approach reflects a broader NPP strategy to not only solidify their standing in core regions but also to inspire unity among party members. His emphasis on collaboration and mutual support aims to build momentum as the party gears up for the polls, ensuring a robust and cohesive front for the NPP in one of Ghana’s most politically influential regions.
