Diella TekuFounder and leader of the Movement for Change and Alliance for Revolutionary Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has extended heartfelt congratulations to former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on their projected victory in the 2024 General Elections.
In a statement, Mr. Kyerematen acknowledged the clarity of the electorate’s decision, despite the Electoral Commission (EC) yet to formally declare the results. He urged all Ghanaians to uphold the integrity of the democratic process and respect the official outcome once announced.
“I urge all Ghanaians to accept the decision of the Ghanaian electorate once the official results are released, in order to preserve the peace of our dear nation,” he stated.
Mr. Kyerematen commended the conduct of all presidential and parliamentary candidates, whose decorum he credited with making the 2024 elections one of the most peaceful in the nation’s history. He, however, expressed his sorrow over isolated incidents of violence that marred the process, offering condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and sympathies to those injured.
Reflecting on the essence of elections, Mr. Kyerematen emphasized that the event transcends individual victories, marking instead a collective triumph for Ghana.
“Let us all remember that there are no winners or losers in this election. It is Ghana that has emerged victorious, through the mercy and grace of our Living God,” he remarked.
Mr. Kyerematen’s call for unity highlights the importance of national cohesion following the polls, urging citizens to prioritize peace and the nation’s continued development. As the country awaits the EC’s formal declaration, his message reinforces the collective responsibility to safeguard Ghana’s democratic legacy.
