FrimpongEnglish Premier League side Chelsea FC have set the asking price for French midfielder N’golo Kante.
The London based side who are reportedly looking to offload the player if the right move comes their way is valuing the World Cup winner between £70.3m (€80m) and £79.1m (€90m).
Spanish media outlet Diario Madrista, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Blues are looking to retain the France international’s services beyond the summer but tabloids in France had claimed last week that Paris Saint Germain was still interested in the player.
Diario Madrista further reports that Real Madrid could end their pursuit of Kante due to the French midfielder’s £300,000-a-week contract with the Spanish giants preferring to invest in a midfielder who is younger.
The 29-year-old season has been hampered by injuries something that is becoming a worry for his suitors; PSG who are interested said to be looking to offload some of its players before making a move for the player.
Kante won the Premier League title with Leicester City and Chelsea FC in consecutive seasons. But has struggled to cement a place in the team due to injuries and the emergence of some young players in the team under Frank Lampard.
