FrimpongInformation Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said that 17 persons have now recovered fully from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, the Minister mentioned that the 17 persons tested negative for the disease upon a second test.
“We have 17 persons who have recorded double negatives and are obviously clinically cured,” Dr. Patrick Aboagye, the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service disclosed at a press briefing on Tuesday.
“Currently, we have a definition of recovered as those who are positive and have recorded consecutive negative [tests],” he explained.
He further explained that sixty-six patients are also awaiting a second testing to be cleared as fully recovered from the disease.
“66 COVID-19 patients have tested negative awaiting the results of the second testing to be declared fully recovered,” he added
