FrimpongReports currently gathered by our outfit indicates that former Atletico Madrid skipper, Diego Costa has appeared in court today regarding a deal he made with prosecutors to solve a tax fraud case which has been leveled against him. Diego Costa was reportedly handed a 6-month prison sentence which he will not serve and was also fined a total sum of €543,000 after he was alleged to have defrauded the Spanish Government more than €1 million somewhere in 2014.
According to reports, Diego Costa did not declare payments from his transfer from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea in his tax return and as well as image rights. Diego Costa has agreed to pay an additional fine of €36,500 on top of the €534,000 to avoid going to prison.
Apparently, Diego Costa reached an agreement some few months back with prosecutors and guess what, he has already paid the fines with interest and the quest for a prison sentence has been withdrawn against him.
