Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has advised former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congres (NDC), John Dramani Mahama to retire from politics to write books since Ghanaians have rejected him.

According to Nana Obiri Yeboah, it is not appropriate for the former president to think of coming back to power after he was humiliated by Ghanaians in the previous elections.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Hello FM monitored by ushe said, “You were not taken off power through a coup but through the ballot box. By now you should be writing your books. You should be writing books like what the Ahwois and Obed Asamoah and other retired Politicians have done in chronicling their journey.”

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is currently on a tour in the Oti Region of Ghana where he has promised to build a university and also legalise the commercial use of motorbikes popularly known as Okada.
