11 Dead And Over 80 Passengers Seriously Injured As Cargo Truck Crashes Into 2 Buses At Kyekyewere Whilst On Their Way To Accra (Photos)
Latest report currently gathered by our outfit indicates that 11 passengers have reportedly been confirmed dead with over 80 other passengers sustaining serious injuries in a fatal accident which occured around 5:30 am today, September 15,2020 around the Kyekyewere Community off the Accra Kumasi Highway.
According the eye witnesses who witnessed the gruesome accident, the Cargo truck which was allegedly on its way to Burkina Faso burst a tyre leading the driver to lose control of the steering wheel and veering off its lane thereby crashing into 2 well loaded buses with passengers from Kumasi heading towards Accra.
The buses involved in these crash have been identified with their various registration numbers as followers; GE 8131-16 and GT4997-20.
Report also indicates that the Ambulance Service, Ghana Police, NADMO and a few others were at the scene of the accident to help rescue the victims. These injured passengers were quickly rushed to the Nsawam and Suhum Government hospitals respectively for proper care and attention whilst the corpses of the deceased were transported to the morgue.
