FrimpongThe survey
As per a recent survey conducted in America, the first thing that comes to one’s mind when they wake up and inspires them to roll out of the bed is money and work. The study reveals that about 56 per cent men and 48 per cent women think about moolahs right after waking up in the morning. The study further reveals that these thoughts might also be influencing your sleep schedule.
According to the survey, people who wake up thinking about money mostly did not hit the snooze button on their alarms. Moreover, it was observed that people who woke up at 5 am earned the highest salary of all the participants, while the people who woke up at 6 am reported higher job satisfaction and an average salary.
But this survey surely does not prove that people who wake up thinking about work and do not snooze their alarm in the morning are more successful. The real reason why you hit the snooze button in the morning might have to do with your line of work. It was further revealed that government and public administration employees were the most likely to wake up thinking about their careers, followed by people in the finance and insurance sector. People belonging to the legal profession think least about their work.
The first thing you should do
As per a Harvard psychologist, Amy Cuddy, the first thing you should do is to stretch in the bed every morning after waking up. You should feel it from the tip of your toes to the top of your fingers. This will make you feel powerful and you will be more effective and focused on your work.
