FrimpongAshanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah says former president of the the republic, Mr. John Mahama is responsible for the collapse of businesses owned by NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi).
“As President, John Mahama used his influence to ensure that his administration totally cripples the mining operations of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Osei-Mensah revealed.
According to him, Mahama-led government targerted chairman Wontumi’s business and made it a priority to see to it destruction and in carrying out the agenda, Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah revealed on the Wontumi Morning Show that all excavators that belonged to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, were targeted by the government of John Mahama and destroyed “by pouring salt solution into the engines“.
“They put salt water in the engines of Wontumi’s excavator and burnt it“, the Minister sadly said of how the flagbearer of the NDC used his position to destroy the business of his Regional Chairman.
He therefore called on people who are engaged in the galamsey business not to trust former President Mahama when he talks about helping them.
