A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Asare Otchere Darko says the good people of Ghana will not bring back the NDC no matter what is happening in the country at the moment.
According to him, the people of Ghana are aware of the fact that the alternative is scary so will vote to maintain the NPP in power regardless.
His comments come on the back of Martin Amidu’s resignation and the subsequent blame of the President’s interference in his independent duties as a Special Prosecutor.
He said in a post sighted on Facebook by MyNewsGh.com that “The Good Lord and the good people of Ghana (which means the vast majority) know the good works of Akufo-Addo for Ghana and the threat the alternative poses and will vote accordingly. This too shall pass”.
The Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu on November 16 2020 resigned from a position he has held for the past two years.
The Special Prosecutor cited a lack of independence and government interference as the reason for his resignation.
He, however, disclosed that having worked for two years with his Deputy, they both have not been paid their emolument but did not make noise about it because they were focused on building the office and fighting corruption in the country.
