Coronavirus kills CEO of Ghana Railway Authority Richard Dombo

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Ghana Railway Authority, Mr. Richard Diedong Dombo has succumbed to coronavirus, MyNewsGh.com has learnt.

Mr. Diedong Dombo contracted Covid-19 in January this year and appeared to have recovered but was observing self isolation until he passed on late in the night Wednesday, a family source told this portal.

He was appointed by President Akufo-Addo as the GRDA CEO in 2017 and played an instrumental part in revamping Ghana’s railways sector during the first term of President Nana Akufo-Addo which spanned 2017 to 2021.

He is the son of the late Chief Simon Diedong Dombo, one of the founders of the Danquah-Dombo-Busia political tradition, which gave birth to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
