Akuapem Poloo was convicted yesterday by the court on her own plead after she pleaded guilty to the three charges leveled against her for posting a nude photo of herself and her son on social media. She was remanded into police custody to undertake a pregnancy test as she awaits her verdict tomorrow.
She was arrested after the post by the police and arraigned before court of which she was granted a bill, a bill which was alleged to have been paid by a ‘good Samaritan’.
Ghanaians are reacting to news since yesterday and have already started a #FreeAkuapemPolowhich is actually trending at number one on micro blogging site Twitter, in aim of pleading to the court for forgiveness on behalf of the social media influencer.
Top celebrities like actress Lydia Forson, singer Efya, media personality Bridget Otoo, Comedian DKD, Social Media celebrity and actress Efia Odo, musicians Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have all shared their thoughts and wishes for Akuapem Poloo to be kept out of prison.
Here, we take you back to couple of months ago when Akuapem Poloo took to social media to apologize to Ghanaians after posting and deleting the nude photo. In the video, Poloo was joined by her son Chief who also pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive her mother.
