NPP polls: 107 pass Ashanti vetting

After 10 days of vetting of all the 121 aspiring parliamentary candidates, the National Parliamentary Vetting Committee of the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region recommended 107 candidates.

The 107 comprise 12 females and 91 males who have been recommended to the National Executive Committee (NEC) for consideration.

Five aspiring candidates voluntarily withdrew from the contest, nine aspiring candidates were not recommended for various reasons.

Out of the 107 candidates who were successful, 14 are going unopposed.

The 107 recommended aspiring parliamentary candidates in the 44 constituencies of the region where the NPP has sitting MPs include:
