Cornavirus: Manhyia Palace shuts down Museum to tourists

The Manhyia Palace effective today has shut down its museum to tourists while traditional activities that bring hundreds of people together in the palace have also been cancelled in the wake of the outbreak of Coronavirus(COVID-19) in Ghana.

The Palace’s main door has also been closed to people except that one’s body temperature is taken before being allowed access to the palace.

Anybody who will be detected with any suspected body temperature to the palace will be directed to the Manhyia government hospital for further medical examination

Traditional spokesperson to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei II, Baffour Osei Hyiaman Brentuo IV, who doubles as Otumfuo Mawerehene disclosed this in an interview with the media.

Mawerehene is, however, urging the traditional leaders and the general public to observe all the directives given by the President of the Republic Nana Addo Danqua Akufo Addo and the Health Ministry.

Ghana has so far confirmed 7 cases of Coronavirus(COVID-19).
