Mr Samson Lardi Ayenini, the host of popular Saturday’s news analysis programme called News File(NF) on Accra-based Joy FM has served notice, he will resign from the stables of Multimedia Group and as the host of News File, the very moment the station impanels boisterous governing New Patriotic Party(NPP’s) Member of Parliament(MP) for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region as a panelist for the show.
Even though ‘I am not the one who determines who appears on the popular news discussion show, I will walk away if I see Kennedy Agyepong as a panel member for the start of the show.
I will resign the very moment I walked into the studios to see Kennedy Agyepong, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select-Committee on Interior and Defence.
The host of the show who is also a lawyer by profession made his intentions known to the management of the station on air on the show when panelists were discussing threats against the media with Editor-in-Chief of New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baaako, and an Accra-based legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu in the studio.
As people who know the law we must not be seen to be encouraging such distasteful acts on the part of the politician.
The inactions of the MP is one too many in the country and he seems to be walking away with all his iniquities, he said
‘I sometimes shudder to understand why some radio stations were shut down by the National Communications Authroty(NCA) for airing distasteful contents and the likes of the television and radio stations belonging to the MP continue to air such despeccable contents under the watchful eyes of the NCA, he said
