South African head coach blamed his loss on referees performance

Ghana kept alive their hopes of reaching the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after beating South Africa by a lone goal to topple Bafana Bafana in Group G.
The South African head coach, Hugo Broos in reaction to this, has expressed his sentiments on the overall performance of his team and other contributing factors which led to his loss in the match between the Black Stars and the Bafana Bafana.
Speaking in the post-match presser, Hugo was very displeased with the performance of the Senegalese referee, Ndiaye Maguette following their defeat by a whisker against Ghana in the World Cup qualifiers.
The Belgian manager accused the referee of allowing Ghana to play aggressively throughout the game.
“I was very disappointed with the performance of the referee because he allowed Ghana to play aggressively.”, he said.
On the issue of the penalty which was scored by Skipper Andre Dede Ayew in the 32nd Minute, he claim he didn’t actually see, as to what the cause of the penalty was but only saw his players looking surprised.
“On the penalty, I didn’t see anything because it is mostly difficult to see an incident in that angle from the bench. The only thing I saw was Amartey lying down and my players looking surprised”, he noted.
He however acknowledged that Ghana is a very good side with one of the best players in Africa. And hence, they ought to have killed the game during their banter with Zimbabwe.
“We should have killed it the Zimbabwe game, we should have scored more goals to qualify and that would have made it impossible for Ghana to qualify.”
Ghana becomes the sixth country to qualify for the WCQ2022 play-offs, with four more teams yet to be determined.
