Edward Enninful, a popular Ghanaian born British editor, has married his longtime boyfriend Alec Maxwell in a star studded wedding.
The Vogue editor chose to wed his lover on his 50th birthday– celebrating two major events at a time.
Edward and Alec’s nuptial has been dubbed ‘the wedding of the year’ and was attended by high class entertainers.
Reports say the lavish wedding ceremony was hosted in the romantic surrounds of the Orangery at 16, Century Longleat House in Wiltshire in the UK.
Hosting a reception at that event will set you back in the region of £13,500 but it was given to Edward and Alec for use on that day as a wedding present from the owners.
Commentary around the wedding says you won’t see so many A-list personalities under one roof for an event more than what was seen at the wedding.
Edward is one of the best-connected people in Britain, and across America too, so the guest list on the day was a who’s who of fashion royalty.
The couple invited their intimate circle to watch them exchange vows while a further 300 guests was said to have attended the reception.
Topping the list was supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as well as designers Diane Von Furstenburg, Marc Jacobs, and Victoria Beckham.
Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio were rumoured to have attended the evening ceremony.
