The event management business Cruise People Limited is suing Ghanaian artist Mohammed Ismail Sherrif, often known as Black Sherif, for allegedly breaching a contract.

Black Sherif is being sued by Cruise People Limited for breaching their contract, according to court documents submitted to the High Court in Adenta, Accra.

The business is suing the artist for a variety of sums totalling more than $100,000 in damages.

Included in this are the $20,000 provided as partial compensation for his services, the $18,000 lost from unbooked cruise ship rooms, and the $50,000 in lost revenue.

Black Sherif was paid by Cruise People Limited, according to court filings, to perform at an event, but the singer “refused to make available” a music video clip as promised.

The business claims to have spent GHc65,000 to promote a music video that was never delivered.

Following Black Sherif’s return from a worldwide tour, the police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) approached him for questioning. Days later, the complaint was filed.

However, police have not yet disclosed details of their investigation.
