After she was exposed by President Akufo-Addo in the latest address to the nation on the COVID-19 status of Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, Afia Pokua has broken her silence.
Afia who revealed in a Facebook post on June 14, 2020, that the Minister had confirmed to her that he was at home resting had to respond when it became evident that she has churned out a falsehood.
Right after the President’s address confirming the status of the Minister, Afia reacted via the same platform writing “Ahhhhhh! But Hon Agyeman Manu said he is at home resting and not sick. Well, The Prez has spoken the true facts. I will add him to my prayer topic”.
President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo on Sunday evening confirmed media reports that the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has tested positive for COVID-19.
Speaking during the 11th address to the nation on measures taken against the spread of Coronavirus, the president revealed that Mr. Agyeman-Manu contracted the virus in the line of duty.
He revealed that the Minister is in stable condition and urged Ghanaians to remember him in prayers.
“Let us also wish our hardworking Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu, MP for Dormaa Central, a speedy recovery from the virus, which he contracted in the line of duty, and is a stable condition”.
