Diella TekuIndependent Presidential Candidate Alan Kyerematen has expressed unwavering confidence in the backing of women and youth as the foundation of his campaign for Ghana’s December 7 elections. Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd during a campaign tour at Dome Market in Accra, Kyerematen underscored his Great Transformational Plan (GTP) as a blueprint for empowering these key demographics and reshaping Ghana’s future.
“I have no doubt that women and youth will make me president come December 7,” he declared. “Policies like the Traders Bank, designed to provide targeted financial support for women and youth entrepreneurs, and my 10-point plan for youth empowerment will create opportunities and transform lives.”
Kyerematen emphasized his commitment to uplifting women through initiatives that ensure access to credit and modernize market infrastructure, including clinics, crèches, and car parks. His message resonated strongly with market women and small-scale entrepreneurs, who cheered as he outlined his vision for economic empowerment.
Yaw Buaben Asamoa, Director of Policy for the Movement for Change and a key ally of Kyerematen, lauded the overwhelming enthusiasm the campaign has garnered among women and youth.
“The energy wherever Alan visits is phenomenal,” Asamoa said. “They believe in him because he listens, understands their struggles, and offers real solutions. This is not just support; it’s a movement.”
Asamoa highlighted the candidate’s 10-point plan as a transformative framework aimed at jobs, skills development, and digital transformation. “Alan Kyerematen is the only candidate who sees the youth as partners in nation-building. His plan isn’t just a promise; it’s a roadmap to prosperity for Ghana’s young people.”
Traders at Dome Market shared their optimism, with many praising Kyerematen’s policies as timely and impactful.
“Alan Cash understands us,” one trader said. “The Traders Bank will give us access to funds to grow our businesses and take care of our families. We are going all out for him on December 7.”
Kyerematen concluded his visit with an inspiring message to his supporters:
“The women and youth of this nation are its backbone. With your support, we will create a Ghana where opportunities are a right, not a privilege. On December 7, let’s vote for transformation. Together, we will make history, and Ghana will rise again.”
The campaign has increasingly positioned Alan Kyerematen as a candidate focused on tangible solutions to economic challenges, with women and youth at the heart of his vision for a prosperous Ghana.
