The club’s captain and Gabon international striker appeared to break lockdown rules to get a new tattoo.
Aubameyang was pictured showing off the inking on the Instagram account of Spanish tattoo artist Alejandro Nicolas Bernal after he had been given time off by the club to visit his ill mother in France.
The Arsenal board are now determined to get the bottom of the matter.
Under UK Government regulations, all mobile and static tattoo parlours much remain closed while lockdown is on.
But neither striker or Bernal were wearing face masks in the picture that was posted on the Alxink8 account.
Arsenal now wants to know if Aubameyang has compromised their secure bubble. If he’s found guilty of falling foul of the rules, he could be fined.
