FrimpongTalented actress and Television show host, Nana Ama Mcbrown has hit back at critics who have described her act of kissing her one-year-old baby, Maxin, as disgusting.
In a setting the record straight comment, Nana Ama Mcbrown said, “at the end of the day she is my baby.”
At the first birthday celebration of Baby Maxin on February 21, the actress was filmed licking her daughter’s right hand which was covered with her birthday cake and then proceeded to stick her tongue in the one-year-old’s mouth in a passionate kiss.
The video which sparked lots of social media reactions was described by many as ‘inappropriate and disgusting.’ Few days after the video surfaced on the internet, panellists during an entertainment show on American Television, Fox 5 described the act as ‘way over the board’.
However responding to the comments on TV3’s New day, Nana Ama Mcbrown who appeared nonchalant about the situation said: Most at times, it’s what they see, that they judge, they don’t know why it happened like that, at the end of the day it’s my baby right?”
She continued to describe the feeling of being a mother and said she is “extremely happy” with the experience she has had with Baby Maxin so far.
In a separate interview with Joy News’ Becky, Nana Ama repeated her stance, “I got pregnant, I gave birth to my baby, and she is my baby. I just don’t want to comment about it but I know that just as the saying goes, he who has not sinned before should throw the first stone at Nana Ama Mcbrown.”
Some celebrities who have reacted to the viral video is Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene who appears to agree with Nana Ama Mcbrown’s comments.
In an interview with Pulse Ghana after the viral video was shown to him, Kuami Eugene described the criticisms as unwarranted.
“Somebody’s own daughter? If you give birth, you can choose to throw your child away” he said.
