Prince Banini Jnr, the visionary director behind Stonebwoy’s smash hit music video “Jejereje,” has opened up about his excitement over the project’s success. Since its release, the video has quickly gone viral, captivating audiences and positioning itself as a strong contender for “Best Music Video of the Year” at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

In an interview with Ekow Koomson on Channel One TV’s “The Chat” monitored by adwoaadubianews, Banini shared his pride in the project, saying, “I’m proud of the video, I’m proud to have created something that is going viral.” The video’s massive reception has further cemented his reputation as one of Ghana’s leading music video directors.

Reflecting on his journey, Banini revealed his humble beginnings as a self-taught filmmaker. He credits much of his early learning to hands-on experience and self-study, including online tutorials, before honing his craft further at the Ghallywood Academy. This diverse background has equipped him with the skills needed to work on major projects like “Jejereje.”

Beyond his work with Stonebwoy, Banini has also directed videos for other prominent Ghanaian musicians such as Fameye, and international icons like Burna Boy and Buju Banton. His growing portfolio, which spans both local and international collaborations, reflects his rising influence in the music video industry.

With “Jejereje” continuing to gain momentum and attract attention, Banini’s future in the world of music video directing looks bright as he eyes more innovative projects and potential award wins.
