The crash occurred on Tuesday, December 24, near the bustling Tesano-Papaye area.
While all the vehicles sustained extensive damage, it was a stroke of fortune that no injuries were reported. Eyewitnesses described the chaotic scene as the truck barreled uncontrollably into the vehicles before coming to a halt. The truck driver fled the scene immediately, abandoning the vehicle and leaving authorities to pursue an active manhunt.
Emergency services arrived swiftly to secure the area and assess the damage. Initial reports indicate that the truck’s brake failure is being scrutinized as part of ongoing investigations to establish accountability and recommend measures to prevent similar incidents.
Among the damaged vehicles was that of Bishop Amoako, a well-known spiritual leader who has recently drawn public attention due to personal tragedies. Just weeks ago, the Bishop faced heartbreak after a car accident in East Legon involving his 16-year-old son led to the deaths of two young girls.
This latest incident compounds the series of misfortunes surrounding the Bishop, casting a somber shadow over the festive season for him and his community. The authorities have assured the public that they are working diligently to locate the absconded driver and ensure justice is served.
