Diella TekuThe Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Georges Gatogato from Burundi to officiate the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Angola and Ghana. Gatogato, a 36-year-old FIFA Referee, will be assisted by fellow Burundians Rénovat Bizumuremyi (Assistant Referee I), Olivier Nibogora (Assistant Referee II), and Rodrigue Bigirimana (Fourth Official).
Referee Georges Gatogato, an urban engineer, has been a FIFA-listed referee since 2007. He has officiated in numerous CAF competitions, including the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, CAF Champions League, and CAF Confederation Cup. His outstanding performance led to his selection for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
