FrimpongGender Minister, Cynthia Maamle Morrison has warned Nana Oye Lithur to desist from leading a women empowerment team to the Central Region, particularly Gomoa and Agona areas since the queen mothers will chase her out of the place.
Madam Oye Lithur, a former Gender Minister in John Mahama’s administration is remembered for the awful relationship she had with her then Deputy, Rachel Florence Appoh.
She has been silent for some time now, but the announcement of Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as the running mate of John Mahama has rejuvenated Madam Oye Lithur who is readying herself to galvanize her women rights activists to the Central Region to galvanize support for the Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
But speaking on Accra based radio station monitored, Mrs. Morrison said “she [Oye Lithur] should try and lead a women empowerment team to Central region, the way the queen mothers of Gomoa and Agona will chase her out of the place, she will be shocked.”
“You treated Rachael Apoh like a kid, now you want to lead a team to her home region; joker’, she emphasized.
She described Oye Lithur as an hypocrite who is only interested in things that will benefit her and does not sympathizes with the masses, adding “if she is women of courage she should step foot in Gomoa and Agona areas.”
