Today marks exactly seven years when the country was thrown into a state of mourning following the shocking disappearance of celebrated Ghanaian musician Castro.

Barring any last minute miracle, the musician who would have turned 39 last May is set to be legally declared dead.

The Evidence Act of 1975, Section 33 stipulates that position after several diligent and persistent efforts have been made to find him.

This means that the court can finally truncate any contract including marriage and business deals the “Odo Pa” hitmaker was involved in thereby releasing all the other parties from that bond.

The hiplife artist whose real name is Theophilus Tagoe had joined his best friend and former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan to vacation at a plush resort in Ada, a town in the Greater Accra Region.

The duo were joined by latter’s senior brother, Baffour and a bevy of hot girls to chill just some few days after the national team was axed from the World Cup tournament in Brazil.

Castro had mounted a jet ski and with his female companion, Janet Bandu sitting on pillion dashed out to have the breeze of the estuary on the Volta River.

After several hours of not returning, an alarm was raised but it was too late. The two were not found and till date no bodies have been recovered. Their disappearances triggered a search-and-rescue mission from the security agencies with the so-called spiritual commandos joining in to fleece money out of Asamoah Gyan’s trepidation.

The families of the two still cling to the faintest of hope that their loved ones will finally return and have vigorously fought any attempts to have a funeral for them.
