FrimpongThe Central Region has recorded one new case of the novel coronavirus as of April 16, according to the Central Regional Health Directorate.
This brings to a total of 2 cases in the region, with 419 suspected cases.
The region has recorded 178 negative results from the 419 specimens taken for testing with 241 results still pending.
So far, there has been no death from the virus as of April 16, 2020 in the Central Region. This was contained in a regional situational report by the Ghana Health Service.
The report further states that the 2 persons who tested positive are receiving treatment and are in stable condition.
Meanwhile, additional PPEs received as donation to
the Regional Health Directorate have been distributed to all health facilities within the region.
