The Charismatic Bishop’s Conference have lamented over the recent announcement made by the president over the novel Coronavirus.
According to the conference, the president did not regard them before making the announcement.
They suggested that the president should have met with all key stakeholders in the Christian fraternity before announcing the ban on church gatherings.
The failure of the president to do that shows lack of respect for the conference and Men of God in general.
“the arbitrary closure of churches and places of worship without consultation or discussion for 4 weeks, smacks of a disregard of the importance of the church’s role in the country.”
“This disregard of the place of this powerful social and religious institution, to which over 70% of Ghanaians belong, is wrong,” they added.
