That’s why we present to you list of Africa’s most awarded musicians below.
5. Diamond Platnumz – 64 Awards Won
Naseeb Abdul Juma, popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist and dancer from Tanzania. He has had several hit songs including “Number One” which he featured Nigerian artiste Davido.
Diamond won numerous awards at Channel O and the HiPipo Music Awards. He performed at the Big Brother Africa 7 eviction show in May 2012.
Diamond is considered influential among his fans, and is said to be the most loved and decorated East and Central African artist at the moment.
On 3 May 2014, Diamond Platnumz set a new record at the Tanzania Music Awards by winning 7 awards, including Best Male Writer, Best Male Artist, Best Song Writer and Best Male Entertainer of the Year.
The previous record was set by 20%, a recording artist who walked away with 5 awards at the 2011 Tanzania Music Awards where diamond left empty handed.Prior to accomplishments, Diamond held the record for winning 3 awards at the 2010 Tanzania Music Awards.

Born Innocent Ujah Idibia in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria,he is popularly known by his stage name 2Face. Tuface 2Face Idibia is a singer, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur.
Innocent Ujah Idibia adopted the stage name “2Face” (Tuface) in 1996,according to him the reason for this is that he was trying to demarcate my personal life with my business life.

In February 2014, Wizkid became the first ever Nigerian musician to have over 1 million followers on Twitter. Moreover, he became the first Afrobeats artist to appeared in the 2018 Guinness World Records for his contribution to Drake’s hit song “One Dance”. One of the top musicians in africa.
Wizkid is the recipient of a BET Award, two MOBO Awards, five The Headies Awards, two Channel O Music Video Awards, six Nigeria Entertainment Awards,one Grammy Award two Ghana Music Awards, two Dynamix All Youth Awards, two City People Entertainment Awards, and a Future Award. In addition, he has been nominated four times at the MTV Europe Music Awards as well as four times at the World Music Awards.

2. Sarkodie – 82 Awards
Michael Owusu Addo, professionally known as Sarkodie, is a Ghanaian hip hop recording artist and entrepreneur from Tema.
He won the Best International Act: Africa category at the 2012 BET Awards, and was nominated in the same category at the 2014 BET Awards. In 2015, Sarkodie was ranked the 19th most Influential Ghanaian by e.tv Ghana.
He is considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance. Sarkodie is often named as one of Africa’s greatest hip hop artists.
Ghanaian rapper and hiplife artist As of 2018 rapper Sarkodie has received over 80 awards from over 140 nominations, including 21 Ghana Music Awards. Makye, his debut studio album, won him three awards at both the 4Syte TV Music Video Awards and Ghana Music Awards.
The album also earned him a nomination at the 2010 MTV Africa Music Awards. Rapperholic, his second studio album, earned him accolades at the 2012 editions of the BET Awards, The Headies, Ghana Music Awards, National Youth Achievement Awards, MOBO Awards, and Channel O Music Video Awards.
