Following the deadly rock-blasting incident on October 14 at the Buduburam road construction site, authorities have vowed to prioritize safety as construction efforts move forward. The accident, which claimed several lives and damaged nearby properties, sparked widespread concern over safety protocols at the site.

In response, the construction team has implemented strict new safety measures. A project supervisor, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that all workers received additional safety training aimed at preventing future incidents. Advanced monitoring systems have also been installed to better oversee activities.

Several workers expressed optimism about the changes, noting their confidence in the enhanced safety protocols. “The new measures are promising and will help avoid further tragedies,” said one worker.

Monitored by adwoaadubianews.com, Gomoa East NADMO Director, Robert Hackman, told CitiNews that the rock blasting phase has concluded, but reassured the public that the reinforced safety precautions will remain in place throughout the rest of the project. He emphasized that the protection of both workers and local residents is a top priority going forward.
