FrimpongThe Electoral Commission of Ghana has cautioned the general public against some fake voter registration adverts circulating on social media.
According to the commission, its attention has been drawn to the said adverts which do not emanate from their outfit.
In a statement released by EC’s Director of Public Affairs, although the adverts bear the logo of the commission with pictures of present and past presidents, it wants the general public to disregard it.
“The Commission wishes to state that it has not put out any such advert on social media platform or any channel of communication and is, therefore, calling on the public to disregard it. The Commission wishes to call on all well-meaning Ghanaians to cooperate with it to make the registration exercise successful,” portions of the statement read.
