Diella TekuThe Ghana Police Service has successfully rescued Sylvia Patience Baah, the Airport Services Manager of Emirates Airlines in Accra, days after her alleged abduction. She has been safely reunited with her family, and authorities are actively pursuing the perpetrators of the crime.
Patience Baah was reportedly kidnapped near the entrance of her residence in Accra on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in an incident that sparked concern and mobilized a swift police response.
The police operation leading to her rescue was aided by valuable information provided by members of the public. In a statement, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, expressed gratitude to individuals whose cooperation and support were instrumental in the successful recovery effort.
Dr. Dampare also confirmed that he personally spoke with the victim and her family following the rescue. “They are in good spirits,” he stated, reassuring the public of ongoing efforts to bring the culprits to justice.
To ensure the victim’s well-being, the police have deployed a team of medical officers and clinical psychologists to provide necessary support to Patience Baah and her family during this critical time. This holistic approach aims to address both the physical and psychological effects of the ordeal.
