Diella TekuGhanaian rapper and singer Feli Nuna, known offstage as Felicia Nuna Akosua Tawiah, recently opened up about her unexpected journey into The Massive Tribe band, a dynamic collective of vocalists and instrumentalists. The group, founded by visionary drummer Beda Ehrensperger, dropped its debut single, “Outerstellar,” on November 1, 2024, captivating audiences with its fusion of synthetic loops, live drums, and the seamless blend of rap and melodic vocals.
In an interview on Channel One TV’s “The Chat monitored by adwoaadubianews.com,” Feli Nuna shared the serendipitous moment that led to her joining The Massive Tribe. About a year ago, she and other artists were invited to a jam session with the band, sparking an instant musical connection. “They were jamming on stage, and we just hopped on—Curl, Phisi, and some other guests,” Feli recounted. “After that, I was introduced to Beda officially, and that’s where it all began.”
Following this spontaneous performance, Beda reached out to Feli, envisioning a creative partnership based on the synergy he’d felt on stage. “One day, he called and said he wanted us to talk. When I came over to the studio, he shared his idea to form a band and said he’d love us to work together,” she explained, recalling how this chance encounter turned into a life-changing musical journey.
Describing her involvement with The Massive Tribe as a “blessing,” Feli Nuna emphasized how the experience has enriched her artistry, allowing her to explore new creative avenues alongside passionate musicians.
