When we talk of Football tournaments like the World cup, The very player who wouldn’t like to hear the conversation is Ghana’s finest striker Asamoah Gyan.
He is arguably the most loved and hated player by Many Ghanaians. Irrespective of his record breaking moments with the Black Stars there’s only one particular misfortune that harshly took off his hard earned Legacy in the minds of many.
His infamous Penalty miss against Uruguay at the death leading to Ghana’s elimination from the tournament is one that is hard to forget.
But one thing people forgot is that it was the same number 3 who fired us to that stage of the Competition with a dramatic extra time winner against USA and that was so much a beauty that FIFA has included it in their world Cup moments.
On their official Twitter page, The World football Governing body wrote 🤩 When you’ve just fired your country into a first-ever World Cup quarter-final 🙌🇬🇭 Who remembers @ASAMOAH_GYAN3’s extra-time winner against USA in 2010? 💥📸 #WorldCup Moments | @ghanafaofficial.
