Former Asante Kotoko defender John Kuffour has been granted a bail in the tune of GH¢50,000 by Ejisu District Court.
Kuffour was arrested by the Police for biting his girlfriend’s nipples during a fuss at home.
The Ejisu District Court presided by Mr. Kwaku Baah Frempong, also directed the families the former Asante Kotoko defender and that of the girlfriend to jointly assist the victim undergo an urgent surgery.
Kuffour was also ordered to report to the court again in seven days time.
The Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Appiah Kubi, stated that the complainant , Dennisa Hagan , 36 , who is a hairdresser has been fiancée to John Kuffour for the past six years.
The two had a row in their relationship.
The prosecutor explained that on the 1st of January, 2017 Kuffour visited Dennisa in her house to find out if she was still interested in their relationship. He said the complainant who failed to give an answer moved to her kitchen and she was followed by Kuffour to demand an answer to the question.
he complainant accidentally pushed Kuffour who was on his knees trying to find answers to the question.
This led to Kuffour holding her dress as she attempted to leave the kitchen and in the process Kuffour bit her left nipple.
John Kuffour has previously played for Asante Kotoko and Heart of Lions.
