A building that houses foam manufacturer, Royal Foams has been gutted by fire.
The factory located at Asokore Mampong —about 15minutes drive from the Kumasi Airport — caught fire just before 6:30pm.
Images that have been circulating on social media saw firefighters battling the inferno as smoke is seen billowing up in the sky.
It is not immediately known what may have caused the Friday night inferno but multiple reports say items including mattresses, equipment and combustibles have been destroyed.
More fire fighters had been deployed to the scene at the time of filing this report.
