Sometime in 2019, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie reminisced the good times he shared with Shatta Wale.

Sarkodie stated that despite the fact that their relationship went sour, he misses the cool days they both shared.

“I still miss our chats, ask my wife, when I talk to Wale it’s not always even about music, we talk about other stuff and laugh. Those things I still miss but we need to resolve our differences as people moving forward,” he stated in an interview with George Quaye.

“Wale has a massive support and love from Ghanaians but the extra noisy stuff would not help even if that’s his brand strategy. I keep telling Wale people love you so you should not go the extra mile, but he still say things that doesn’t look like he loves me, I can’t still be smiling and act like everything is fine when you’re crossing your lane so that is when the “Advice” conversation came in, Sarkodie added.

Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, known in the showbiz industry as Sarkodie has revealed that irrespective of the sour relationship he has with Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale he misses the cool days they both shared.

Obidi pon bidi who for the first was commenting on why he dissed Shatta Wale with viral song “Advice” said, “I didn’t see the song as replying Shatta with a beef song, but is an actual conversation that we’ve had on several instances but he didn’t take it seriously so I had to come public”.

According to Sarkodie his only problem with Shatta Wale is the fact that he doesn’t “shut up”.

He said, “Wale has a massive support and love from Ghanaians but the extra noisy stuff would not help even if that’s his brand strategy.
There was nothing on the song that I didn’t talk to him about, I keep telling Wale people love you so you should not go the extra mile, but he still say things that doesn’t look like he loves me, I can’t still be smiling and act like everything is fine when you’re crossing your lane so that is when “Advice” conversation came in,” Sarkodie explained to George Quaye on ShowbizAtoZ on JoyFM.

Sarkodie who on October 10, 2018, released a diss track which fires a string of salvoes at dancehall artiste Shatta Wale said he decided to come public because he was tired of talking to him in private.

The winner of the ‘Artiste of the Decade’ at the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA), Sarkodie noted that “I still miss our chats, ask my wife, when I talk to Wale it’s not always even about music, we talk about other stuff and laugh. Those things I still miss but we need to resolve our differences as people moving forward.

“I don’t even know what is it between Wale and I now because things are not clear, he says stuff about me and we laugh about it a lot even but sometimes he goes overboard.”

Sarkodie last year jumped on a three-minute verse in instrumental of Joey B’s hit song Stables which features La Meme Gang and put that beat to good use on the freestyle which he titles: My Advice to Shatta Wale.

In one of the verses, King Sark told Shatta, “Confidence is when you are able to compliment people without you feeling insecure, so if you feel say you got it, no need to downplay the next man…”.
