Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC opened their Ghana Premier League campaign with a home draw against wasteful side Techiman XI Wonders in Accra.
The Porcupine Warriors were left off the hook on more than three occasions in the opening quarter of the match as the visitors kept firing wide and missing sitters leaving Kotoko off the hook.
It took the Porcupines over 20 minutes to find their mojo but failed to convert chances that came their way as striker, Kwame Poku failed to replicate his pre-season form by missing clear cut chances same as Adomako Evans who replaced injured Augustine Okrah early in the game.
The first half ended without a single goal despite the numerous chances that came both teams way.
Ten minutes into the second half, the In-form forward, Poku broke the deadlock of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up in the early stages of the second half.
Wonders after going behind started to put some passes together and got their reward fifteen minutes to the end of the game when Prince Okraku unleashed a powerful strike into the bottom corner to level matters for the visitors.
The game finished 1-1 on the night and the Red and Whites had to settle for a point on matchday one against the the Techiman based Club.
