FrimpongBlack Stars midfielder, Bernard Mensah has decided to take a break from National Team assignments to concentrate on his club career, SPORTSworldGhana.com can confirm.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian midfielder announced his decision to stay off national teams duties for now through his Twitter Account.
“I have decided to take a break from the national team until further notice .. I want to concentrate on my career for now .. thanks to all Ghanaians for their support”, he said.
The Besiktas JK midfielder was part of the Ghana team which lost 3-0 to Mali and beat Qatar in their subsequent game last month in Turkey.
The Ghana International contracted Covid-19 after the two games and made his return to club football on the 1st of November since the October international break.
His decision to stay off national team duty may come as a surprise to many football loving fans in Ghana and beyond.
