About 13 people have been confirmed dead following a tragic accident on the Kumasi-Obuasi stretch in the early hours of today, Monday, 14th October 2024
Sources said that as the bus, plated ER 2445-11, picked up several stranded individuals from another bus that had broken down on the route, it got overloaded.
It is conceived that the driver may have been distracted by a confrontation among some disgruntled passengers regarding the bus’s excessive load, which led to the fatal colliding.
Following the event, medical attention is being given to individuals hurt in the collision, and the police have started looking into what caused the disaster.
As officials try to discover more information and support the afflicted family members, the deceased’s remains have been deposited in the mortuary.
