Ghanaians to be tested compulsorily for COVID-19

The government of Ghana will embark on a compulsory tracing and testing campaign of the deadly COVID-19 at the Ayawaso West Municipality from April 1, 2020.

In a statement issued by by the assembly, the communities in the assembly have been identified to be a zone where COVID-19 virus is prevalent.

The door to door exercise will span ten days in these communities, Legon, Dzorwulu, East Legon, West Legon, Okponglo, Abelenkpe, Roman Ridge, Airport Residential and surrounding areas.

The campaign will be assisted by over 100 health personnel and security agencies.

On 30th March 2020, President Nana Akuffo Addo issued a two weeks partial lockdown in some parts of the country.
