A forest guard allegedly shot to dead with a rifle in Kumawu Wonoo when they were on their way to forest to pick seedlings for the Green Ghana Project.
The report says, 38 year old forest guard Seidu Benjamin, together with his co-workers were on their way to Wonoo forest with pick up truck, on early morning of yesterday around 10am, to pack some of trees seedlings to supply to other communities within the Sekyere Kumawu district.
The assembly member for Presby mission electoral area, Sulemana Abubakar explained the incident to media said, Seidu Benjamin sat back of the truck and carrying gun when they were going for the activity, and he placed the gun vertically upward with the muzzle on his jaw, but unfortunately on their way, the car jump into a pothole which unintentionally compel him to pull the trigger and fired him at the spot.
He was rushed to hospital, but he was declared on the arrival.

The wife of the deceased, Madam Sadikatu Seidu, also shared how she heard such shocking news about the death of his beloved husband Seidu Benjamin.
