Morning show host and broadcast journalist for Metro TV, Randy Abby has stated that he does not think auditing heaven will take five years as the New Patriotic Party government have abandoned a lot of road projects in the country and told Ghanaians that, they are auditing the roads and its about five years now without hearing from them.
Randy Abby on Metro TV good morning Ghana show today, Tuesday, 8th June, 2021 questioned NDC MP, Hon Defeamekpor about Eastern corridor road and he explained that when NPP came into power, they assured him of continuing the project and even told him in 2018 that they are reviewing the contract and they will rewarded it soon.
According to the member of parliament, he was told in 2019 that the contract has been rewarded and he was happy but nothing has been done about the road, and there’s no budget allocation for the road in 2021 budget which he has keep on asking questions about it but he is not getting any response from road minister.
After the member of parliament revealed his side of the story, Randy Abby was not happy and said that why is the Government leaving the projects the previous governments have wasted our resources on already and made that statement known.
” It is a project we wasted our resources on and when they left the construction, it is deteriorated and even if we are not careful the money we spent on the road will be wasted.
We waited 5 years and we are focusing on new projects instead of looking and dealing with issues surrounding the old projects.
What we were told is that they are auditing the projects and all that and I don’t think that even auditing heaven will take more than 5 years” he said on the show to inform the New Patriotic Party government led by Nana Akufo-Addo.
